Why can I see 4 quests from the Rift Warden in LA
and other people only see 2 from him? I see (and have been doing) "Straight to the Heart" and "The Strength of Snow" from the Rift Warden in LA, and others have argued with me that I'm not seeing them. I am.
Plus the gameswiki wiki says that only the Rift Warden in Kamadan has them, and the official wiki doesn't even show the RW in LA at all. Not true from my POV. |

I'm guessing that you may need EotN for them, since I am seeing 4 and I have EotN (That is from both Kamadan and LA). My secondary account only has Prophecies, and can only see "Mean One" and "In Grenth's Defense." Furthermore, the two additional quests take place in the Secret Lair of the Snowmen, an EotN dungeon.

Good eye CyberMesh0. Thank you. I'm reporting it as a bug because those quests should really be available to everyone since it doesn't say on the GW Wintersday page that they're only available to players who have EOtN.

It's quite understandable that's it only for EotN because it's about the Secret Lair of the Snowmen, which is a dungeon in the Expansion pack. I don't have the expansion yet, probably will get it for Christmas so i will be able to do the quest then

Aside from this, is EotN affected by Winterday at all?
Cause if it isn't then no, I don't see the point in the quests being exclusive. |

I'm aware of that, but is EotN specifically affected? CCS drops, collectors, decorated towns, special quest. I don't think it has any of those things.
You get two quests, but you don't get any classic Winterdsay things? The game isn't even following it's own logic with that one. |

I thought you got Candy Cane Shard drops all over Guild Wars, even in Cantha.

A full FtFC farming run yielded none. Don't know if they only show up in certain places, or I just had terrible luck. Thanksgiving drops were at least frequent.

Yes they drop throught all chapters, though rarely. the best place to stock up on CC Shards would be by doing the repeatable quests from the Rift Warden.

I find the drops better from Straight to the Heart the best of the quests to farm shards with. If you already took the other quest, drop it and relog to get it back. It's repeatable. Even if you don't finish it, you can gather shards at a rate of about 1 every 4 snowman kills or so.
